The rerecording of dialogue, [ADR, or automated dialogue replacement] is necessitated by uncontrolled environmental sounds during production filming [traffic, overhead planes, construction, etc].

All dialogue recording is performed on Pro Tools using digital picture, greatly enhancing efficiency and artistic flow. Specific time codes can be instantly accessed for immediate loop recording, thus maintaining performance momentum. Our recording rooms are custom designed and acoustically treated to accommodate every situation from single to group loop voiceover talent. Digital picture permits the engineer to achieve immediate frame-accurate sync after each recorded loop. The director can then fine tune the adapted script and implement the necessary changes.

Artistic results are now inexorably linked with technology. MEDIACONCEPTS has selected the Apogee AD converter plus the Avalon and Millennia mic preamps as our best choices for the most pristine sound. Our recording equipment includes Neumann, Sennheiser and AKG microphones, and KRK, JBL, Genelec and Augsburger monitoring speakers. Our RTW Surround Meters are vital for multi-language projects level consistency. All data is instantly accessible anywhere in the studio facilities via our structured storage capabilities, consisting of our 22 terabyte fiber channel Apple-X server with automated backup solution and daily log reports.
