multilanguage ADR
Successful multilanguage ADR consists of three primary elements.
|
 |
Voice casting entails
all the same elements as any original casting,
namely, picking talent for the best vocal
characterization, pitch and tone, the primary goal
being to
match the voice texture of the original.
|
|
 |
Lip synchronization to
picture, so as to achieve the best quality audio,
yet with complete transparency. Translation
and adaptation are the main guidelines here. |
|
 |
Microphone placement
to match the characters' proximity and projection in
each scene (i.e., close-up, medium shot, long shot)
thus recreating a sense of realism, later enhanced
and perfected at mix time. |
Foreign ADR recording for high profile films is often
performed by local star talent, who are charged with
maintaining the texture and delivery of the original
pre-ADR recording, while adapting to the local
director's dramatic requirements.
MEDIACONCEPTS
has supervised films in over 20 territories, adapting
original dialogue to each local language, always
maintaining specificity and musical tone.
MEDIACONCEPTS always
strives to envision "The Big Picture" and never fail to
deliver within budget and on schedule.
